The "Y" scanner of a XY raster scanner. This part was donated to the Tucson, AZ Time Capsule Reducing inertia resulted in reduction in motor and power supply requirements, reducing the total cost of the scanning machine. Was used to digitize the Statue of Liberty and other large scale objects.
